WHAT IS NON-LASER TATTOO LIGHTENING/REMOVAL?

Saline Tattoo Lightening/Removal utilizes an all-natural, concentrated saline solution that draws the ink out of the skin and into the scab that forms and then falls off. Oftentimes people can see the ink coming out in the scab! This non-laser method of tattoo lightening/removal is somewhat similar to having a professional tattoo done, the equipment is the same but the techniques are a bit different.


HOW IS IT DIFFERENT FROM LASER TATTOO LIGHTENING/REMOVAL?
 There are some significant differences between Saline and Laser Lightening/Removal. Since it is not reliant on light waves set to target specific colors, saline targets all ink colors all at once (even carbon black and white titanium dioxide). One of the most important differences between saline and laser is that saline draws the ink out of the body, whereas laser aims to break down the ink which is instead absorbed by the body. This distinction is important since many inks of highly questionable origin and content. Medical professionals are actually finding tattoo ink built up in people's lymph nodes.

HOW MANY SESSIONS WILL IT TAKE?   —   IS IT GUARANTEED TO REMOVE MY TATTOO?

DOES IT HURT?
Contrary to popular belief, your tattoo removal/lightening procedure does not have to be painful! We use top of the line anesthetics prior to and during the procedure to ensure the process is as comfortable as possible. Clients have repeatedly stated that our Non-Laser Saline Tattoo Lightening/Removal was less painful than initially having the tattoo done and SIGNIFICANTLY less painful than undergoing laser tattoo removal.


HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO HEAL?   —   HOW SOON ARE FOLLOW-UP APPOINTMENTS?
Tattoo lightening/removal  of any kind is somewhat invasive. The treated area must be allowed to scab and the scab must be allowed to fall off naturally on its own which usually takes 10-14 days. Follow-up appointments may be made no sooner that 8 weeks from previous treatment so that the skin has time to heal completely. Depending on the area treated, the health of your skin, age, medical conditions, medications, and your general overall health, healing may take more or less time.


HOW LONG UNTIL I CAN RETURN TO WORK?
While it may be possible for some to return to work the same day, in most cases we encourage our clients to have their appointments at the end of their shift before their days off. This is because the first 24-48 hours are most vital in not only the healing process but also in having successful lightening/removal sessions.

DOES IT WORK ON LARGER TATTOOS?
Absolutely! We can treat an area about the size of a deck of cards during a session. With larger tattoos, different areas may be treated every week; areas already treated require 8 weeks between follow-ups. Not only does this help to prevent potential complications, it also makes the process much easier.

WHAT IF I HAVE HAD DIFFICULTY WITH ANESTHETICS IN THE PAST, SUCH AS AT THE DENTIST?
Clients who have had previous difficulty getting or staying numb at the dentist often aren't very responsive to topical anesthetics. The topical anesthetics we use are similar to those used in most dental offices and as such other methods of managing your discomfort may be considered.
