Scalp Micropigmentation

WHAT IS SCALP MICROPIGMENTATION? IS IT REALLY PERMANENT?
Scalp micropigmentation is a cosmetic tattoo. Any time pigment is implanted in the skin, it is considered a permanent procedure. However, based on the type of pigment used, condition of the skin, age, health, environmental factors, and the skill level of the artist, there will be a certain amount of fading over time.

WILL SMP DAMAGE MY SCALP OR NEGATIVELY IMPACT MY ABILITY TO GROW HAIR?
Since scalp micropigmentation is done between the hair follicles or where there is no hair, it does not damage your existing hair. Additionally, SMP increases the blood flow to the scalp, and some clients report the health of their scalps actually improving.

DOES IT HURT?
Contrary to popular belief, most clients do not report that SMP is painful and often times clients doze off during their treatments. For females we recommend scheduling during a time that they will not be menstruating, as this can intensify any discomfort they may feel. Additionally, all clients who are medically able may take Tylenol (acetaminophen ONLY) an hour prior to the procedure.

HOW LONG MUST I WAIT BETWEEN TREATMENTS?
For most clients, SMP sessions can be done a week apart. With weekly sessions, clients get to see noticeable results in under a month!

HOW LONG UNTIL I CAN RETURN TO WORK?
Most clients can return to work and normal activities immediately following their procedure.
