Permanent Cosmetics

WHAT ARE PERMANENT COSMETICS? IS IT REALLY PERMANENT?
Permanent cosmetics are cosmetic tattoos done either with a powered machine or a manual handheld device. Any time pigment is implanted in the skin, it is considered a permanent procedure. However, based on the type of pigment used, condition of the skin, age, health, environmental factors, and the skill level of the artist, there will be a certain amount of fading over time.

ARE YOU GOING TO SHAVE OFF MY EYEBROWS?
Absolutely not. This is a safe space for eyebrows.

DOES IT HURT?
Contrary to popular belief, your permanent cosmetics procedure does not have to be painful! We use top of the line anesthetics prior to and during most procedures to ensure the process is as comfortable as possible. While this does require more time for your appointment than if topical anesthetics weren't used, we feel that it is worth the time to help our clients be comfortable. We recommend scheduling during a time that you will not be menstruating, as this can intensify any discomfort you may feel. Additionally, Tylenol (acetaminophen ONLY) may be taken an hour prior to the procedure.

WHAT IF I HAVE HAD DIFFICULTY WITH ANESTHETICS IN THE PAST, SUCH AS AT THE DENTIST?
If you have had difficulty getting or staying numb at the dentist, please let us know before making your appointment. The topical anesthetics we use are similar to those used in most dental offices, and as such, modifications will need to be made to your treatment session in order to keep you as comfortable as possible.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO HEAL?
Typically it takes around 27 days for your skin to completely regenerate. This means that around 27 days after your procedure, all of the skin on you body has been replaced by brand new skin, how cool is that? While it can take between 4-6 weeks for complete regeneration, the most obvious parts of the healing process typically are over in 1-2 weeks. Depending on the procedure received, the health of your skin, age, medical conditions, medications, and your general overall health, healing can take more or less time.

HOW LONG UNTIL I CAN RETURN TO WORK?
Most clients can return to work and normal activities immediately following their procedure.
